Warren Watson Portrait for Shotgunning

Warren Watson

Warren Watson grew up in southern Illinois on the Mississippi Flyway, where shotgunning for waterfowl and bobwhite quail was a way of life. He developed a passion for shotgunning that continues to this day.

Since the 1990s, Warren has been a professional instructor and shotgunning competitor in tournaments all over the United States. After winning the Colorado Sporting Clays State Championship in 1999, Warren retired from competition to teach shotgunning full time, founding the Warren Watson School of Shotgunning near Denver, Colorado. The school has become one of the most highly regarded shotgun teaching facilities in the country for students at all skill levels, from novices to Olympic shooters to professional shooting instructors.

Warren’s process was formed by observation and the tutelage of the late Peter Crabtree, chief instructor for the National Sporting Clays Association. Those guiding influences, Warren’s coaching style, and his gifts for communicating are the foundation for this book and the Warren Watson School of Shotgunning.
